
A proto-board is a solderless and self powered breadboard - the breadboard provides a convenient place to wire IC chips and analog circuits. The main components of the board are the buses. These are equipotential 'lines' into which you can insert both chips and wires. Along a bus, the voltage is constant. The picture below shows the equipotentials in some of the buses. They are shown by a solid black line.
